Live-Cell Kinetic Assays for Monitoring Cell Health and Metabolism
Live-cell kinetic assays allow measuring different cellular events over long periods of time in single wells. This saves your cells, media, consumables and other chemicals and also your precious time spent by pipetting. In this seminar, we will discuss the basic principles used in Promega cell-based assays and discuss what are the benefits of kinetic assays. In the second part, individual kinetic assays for measuring cellular health, apoptosis and metabolism will be described.
Speaker Vojtěch Ledvina, Ph.D.
Vojtěch Ledvina acquired his master’s degree in the field of biotechnology at the Brno University of Technology. After that, he continued with his doctoral studies of analytical chemistry at Masaryk University and the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences with focus on bioluminescence-based studies of caspase function in cell differentiation and synthesis and functionilzation of fluorescent nanoparticles. Since 2020 he has been working in East Port Praha as an application support for Promega products.
Who is the seminar for?
The seminar is accessible to all interested parties regardless of their occupation and age and is also suitable for university students. Registration is required for all participation. The seminar will be held in English.
